MY STORY

I grew up in a world that valued perfection over presence. Thinness, achievement, sameness. My authentic expression—especially through my body—was only tolerated in designated spaces. So I learned to split off. I became the responsible one. The helper. The one who “had it together” while slowly disconnecting from myself.

But deep inside, I was always dancing. Always seeking. Always listening for the pulse of something more real. And I kept returning to myself.

I’ve navigated eating disorders, self-harm, addictive behaviors, co-dependency, family mental health crises, trauma, spiritual disconnection, divorce, and identity reclamation. I came out in my forties. I’ve worked as an unofficial death doula and therapist in queer rehab. I’ve sat beside and inside complex grief and joy.

And what I’ve learned is this: censoring our expression is oppression. And authenticity—real, raw, embodied authenticity—is revolutionary.

Why this healing & life path works

These practices are experiential meditation & healing in action. It’s relational. It’s embodied. It’s creative.

I am a seeker, a dancer, a creative healer, a movement psychotherapist, meditation teacher and meaning maker that has always known there is more to my experience than what is just right in front of me. I don’t take much at face value and neither do you. Creativity, helping others and seeking truth has been not only a sacred place of respite but also connection to a higher source.

My life experiences and your life experiences are what co-create your healing, support and connection to purpose together. I first went to therapy at 14 and knew then that just talking could not be the pathway to creativity and joy. I have taken the best of what I have learned in my over 20 years of Buddhist meditation teacher courses, recovery, professional trainings, somatic movement & psychodramatic method courses and my life experiences of recovery to give you the best methods that actually work.

When we express our truth in real time—through voice, movement, role play, parts work, or direct dialogue—something profound happens. Our nervous systems learn that it’s safe to be real. We internalize the feeling of being met, not misattuned to. We stop shrinking ourselves to stay connected and begin connecting through our authenticity.

Clients often come to me having never experienced what it’s like to be truly held. Many have been helpers or empathic creatives their whole lives. Others are recovering from families where emotional expression wasn’t safe. All of us in burdened systems of racism, capitalism, sexism, toxic masculinity, and homophobia that rewards complying, getting small and acting from fear. In our work together, you get to practice being seen, felt, and honored. And through that, your system recalibrates. You remember: There is safety in relationships that matter. I matter. I’m not too much. I get to take up space and express freely.

WHAT I OFFER

AWAKEN Parts-work & Spiritual Arts

This isn’t traditional therapy. It’s not just talk. It’s a living, breathing process of coming back to yourself—through Internal Family Systems, expressive arts, somatic practices, and deep relational presence.

We work with your internal parts—exiled, protective, playful, wise—and invite them to speak through role play, empty chair work, voice, and embodied movement. You learn how to externalize your internal world, build self-leadership, and cultivate compassion for every part of your story.

This is about more than healing symptoms. It’s about reconnecting with your original purpose, your spiritual truth, and your innate creative intelligence.

WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE TO WORK WITH ME

When you work with me, we co-create a space that’s honest, expressive, and deeply alive. Sessions might include somatic tracking, parts dialogue, improvisational movement, creative visualization, or voice work. You don’t have to perform or have it figured out. You just have to show up.

You’ll rediscover your internal resources—what IFS calls Self energy: clarity, compassion, curiosity, courage. These qualities come online as you build trust with your parts and with me. You’ll begin to make different choices—not out of fear or habit, but from inner alignment.

By the end of our work together, many clients report feeling more free in their bodies, more honest in their relationships, more clear in their path, and more connected to their spirit.

IS THIS FOR YOU?

You’ll likely feel at home here if you’re:

  • A therapist, coach, bodyworker, or creative who holds others and needs a place to be held

  • In long-term recovery (especially from love, sex, or substance addiction)

  • Queer, questioning, or seeking to reclaim your identity with joy and depth

  • A musician, writer, or expressive artist ready to reconnect to your creative flow

  • Someone who knows that vulnerability is the way through—and is ready to live from that place

This may not be the right fit if you:

  • Are currently in crisis or active addiction

  • Are unable or unwilling to access or feel your emotions

  • Don’t relate to having a dysfunctional family or caretaking tendencies

  • Are skeptical of expressive, spiritual, or somatic approaches

  • Prefer a highly intellectual, structured, or rigid therapeutic experience

This work is not a beginner move. It’s for those who are ready to go deep—not through analysis, but through presence, practice, and embodied truth.

MY PHILOSOPHY & VALUES

I believe in whole-system healing. You are not a diagnosis. You are not a label. You are a complex constellation of parts, shaped by your experiences, ancestry, culture, privilege, and pain—and you deserve a space where all of you is welcome.

I believe:

  • You can’t think your way into authenticity. It’s an embodied and relational experience.

  • Honoring your truth—your voice, your desires, your rage, your joy—is revolutionary.

  • Our healing must include the body, creativity, and community. Not just cognition.

  • Diversity isn’t a disruption. It’s the essence of our humanity.

  • Your identity matters. The therapy world must name privilege and oppression. I do.

I’m here to restore what the world has asked you to hide. Not just so you can function—but so you can thrive, express, connect, and live fully as your whole, authentic self.
